The Yamaha HX-10000 Phono Equalizer Amplifier was designed as a separate phono stage for moving coil turntable cartridges. It could accept up to two separate turntables using such phono cartridges. It had a list price of 350,000 yen.
The superb build quality that disguished the Centennial line of stereo components was clearly evident in the HX-10000 as well. The power supply and six capacitors were positioned on the left of the chassis and separated by shield from the four electronic circuit boxes on the right of the chassis. Each circuit board featured hand-placed and soldered components, as did each component in the Centennial line. The specifications of the HX-10000 are listed below.
